· Students must be in 9th-12th grade (at least 14) · Students can participate all four years of high school (through 12th grade) · Students must attend REQUIRED meetings two times a month at ITEC · Students must turn in monthly progress reports (time sheets) · Students are REQUIRED to meet for one hour of tutoring per week if time sheet shows any D’s or F’s · ITEC provides monthly non-cash incentives based on attendance (up to $65) · ITEC provides new school clothes every fall ($200) · ITEC provides monthly UTA bus pass · ITEC has a computer lab with high speed internet access for all students · ITEC provides tutoring to students · ITEC can assist with school fees

· ITEC was founded in 1989 and has provided education/training assistance to more than 2,000 Indian participants. · ITEC helps American Indians and Hawaiian Natives with training & education programs to increase job opportunities and income. · ITEC participants can receive money for living expenses and for some school-related costs. · ITEC promotes individual development in a clean, professional, businesslike atmosphere and maintains an 80% success rate, even though many participants have major employment obstacles. · ITEC provides positive support, constant feedback, a hand-up, in an environment that is sensitive to individual needs of participants. |
